Court Remands Ghanaian Student For Attempted Rape & Robbery

The accused, who pleaded not guilty, would reappear on May 27.
Prosecuting Superintendent of Police Duuti Tuaruka told the court on April 25th, the accused person attacked the complainant at a spot near the University of Ghana stadium close to the Nouguchi junction.
He said the accused person, who was wearing a black-hood jacket with a cap, dragged the complainant from behind into the nearby bush and ordered her to lie on the ground and remove her panties. The accused person, who pointed a knife at the complainant threatened to kill, if she should shout, he said.
