Ibadan Poly Students Decried Abduction Of Chibok Schoolgirls

The All Nigeria United Nations Students and Youth Association (ANUNSA) of the Polytechnic of Ibadan, Eruwa campus, has decried the abduction of over 200 schoolgirls in Chibok, Borno State.

The students, who were led by their president, Umar Mariam, to the Tribune House, Imalefalafia, Ibadan, last week, appealed to the Federal Government to take corrective measures and help bring back the girls.

Umar, who is a student of the Department of Business Administration, said “it is very difficult and painful when the innocent girls are separated from their parents,” adding that “ANUNSA Eruwa chapter is saying no to abduction and kidnapping.”

The students urged the government not to leave the students to die in the hands of those who do not believe in the future and free their parents from grief.

“We are leaders of today and we are ready to fight for global peace, social justice and sustainable development. All these cannot be achieved without peace, so let there be peace,” they demanded.
