Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan gives Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Vincent Tan has given the
thumbs-up to Ole Gunnar
Solskjaer’s recent spending
spree after backing his
rebuilding of the Bluebirds’
And the club’s controversial
owner has reiterated his belief
the Norwegian has what it takes
to bring top-flight football back
to Cardiff City Stadium.
Solskjaer has made significant
inroads into his summer
recruitment after a week where
Guido Burgstaller, Federico
Macheda and Adam le Fondre
made it a transfer treble to go
with Spanish pre-contract
capture Javi Guerra.
The 41-year-old isn’t finished
and will now set his sights on
other areas of the squad while
also preparing to ship-out
several players not part of his
plans for an attack on the
And Tan reckons Solskjaer is the
right man to continue City’s
reshaping as they bid to bounce
back to the Premier League at
the first attempt, telling
reporters in his native Malaysia
he will take the Bluebirds out to
the far east should they make a
instant return.
“The club is currently going
through a rebuilding process –
and we have Ole Gunnar
Solskjaer, who is a good
manager, to steer us back to the
top,” said Tan, before adding he
would take Solskjaer’s side to
Malaysia “once our mission to
get promoted to the Premier
League is achieved”.
